In this episode we go over a flashing DPF light on a Mitsubishi Triton with the 4N14 2.4 TD engine, the reason is because the oil level is over full, we show Mazda CX-3 1.5d SE Nav - DPF. Bought a new CX-3 1.5d SE Nav at the end of April 2016. Great car & spec etc..but the flashing DPF light keeps coming on. It happened the first time with less than 500 miles on the clock & continues to be a BIG problem. It happens on a long run on motorway journeys. The particulate matter (PM) is being removed by the diesel particulate filter (DPF). The fuel injection amount learning is being performed. (The i-stop indicator light (green) turns off when the vehicle speed before stopping is approx. 10 km/h (6.2 mph) or less and fuel injection amount learning is performed while the vehicle is stopped.) Initialize the headlamp alignment motors by shorting the OBD2 connector. Pins B and J must be connected three times in a row. 1. Connected: 0.5-1.5 seconds 2. Not connected: 0.5-1.5 seconds 3. Hi folksbeen reading on forums about the ECU/DPF light needing reset after an oil change. Phoned Mazda who quoted £175 for oil change or £85 to reset the light. Asked a guy I know in a local garage if he ever encountered the problem, he said no. The cheapest way is to service the car somewhere else and attend official Mazda dealership afterwards to reset the DPF light. Same as mine but my dpf warning light is still flashing and mpg has dropped from regular 39mpg to around 30mpg..my garage who had just renewed engine oil and filter are now telling me it needs new timing chain and this may possibly put the light out.. £785 for new chain..they also tell me the mpg has reduced because the ecu is constantly trying to 'remap' cx7 with 73000 2010 now needs new home !!
